Verstappen Dominates Qualifying
Defending world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing has claimed pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix after setting the fastest lap time in qualifying. The Dutchman put in a blistering lap of 1:30.577, nearly half a second ahead of his closest rival.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc will start alongside Verstappen in second place, while Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing will start third. Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes will start fourth, ahead of Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin in fifth.
The Bahrain Grand Prix marks the start of the 2023 Formula 1 season. The race will take place on Sunday, March 5th, at the Bahrain International Circuit.
